Our Blog... I'll have a real blog going soon.  Until then here is what we are up to.

September 24, 2009 - On the Road!  We thought we had downsized ourselves but we still have way too much stuff, or at least we haven't found were to put everything.  I'm sure it can't be all of my computer stuff or my nine tool boxes and crates of "necessary" equipment that's taking up all of the room. ;-P  Oh well, we will continue to shed some of our "can't live without it" stuff.  I have visions of the wagon trains climbing steep mountain passes and piles of family treasures left on the side of the trail.

We made it from Clark Fork to Cocolalla and actually up the road and driveway to Ron and Denise Glines home were we will stay for a few days.  We weren't sure if we could fit and had no other place to go.  Thank you Jesus!  It was funny that I managed to get our 29' travel trailer up their road with no problems yet managed to get the Yukon stuck in the ditch on that same road later in the day.  Ashlee and Hannah will stay and visit with Denise and her daughters Carly and Marnice while Ron and I go to a Men's Retreat at Cocolalla Lake Bible Camp.

Boy, I have a lot to get caught up in here!

October 27, 2009 - Wow, has it been a month already?!  We sure didn't plan on taking this long to get to Arizona, but then again we didn't have a plan anyway.  We are currently Camp Hosts at Bruneau Dunes State Park near Mountain Home, Idaho where it is blowing like crazy and we are getting hit broadside - WeeHaa.  We managed to go about 480 miles south of our hometown and it only took 1,368 miles of driving to do it!

October 30, 2009 - A victorious Hannah at the top!Our tracks on the top of Bruneau Dunes. This afternoon the sun was shining and the wind calmed down enough for us to finally try climbing the DUNES!  470 feet high, it is the tallest single-structured sand dune in North America.  Ashlee made it almost to the top before her knee started hurting.  Though she had sand in here eyes, Hannah and I climbed the last hundred feet on all fours - but we made it!

November 1, 2009 - We were blessed to attend Calvary Chapel Mountain Home today.  It was great to hear Pastor Dan Davis teach on Mark 11 and it really spoke to Ashlee and I.  Of course Hannah loved Sunday School and really enjoyed playing with all of the kids.  We met some folks from Arizona who gave us some good contacts and information on where we may be of use in the Phoenix area.  If the Lord leads us that way, we will certainly stop and and see what we can do.

We will be wrapping things up here tomorrow and heading south-ish thru Utah.  We have never been in this part of the country before and honestly have no idea where we are going. :-)  I like how God lead the Israelites during their little hike in the wilderness - when He moves, we move and when He stops, we stop.  He doesn't tell us what the whole journey will be because we would try to do it on our own.  Instead He takes us one step at a time and allows us to grow and learn along the way.
